The Sumerians were/are Yazidi/Ezidi.

Prince Naïf bin Dawud's recent speech: Yazidis are victims of their national identity and ancient history.(Yazidism is a religion, people, language, and the first monotheists, whose roots extend back to the Sumerian civilization and before) Yazidis are victims of their national identity and ancient history. I speak to all of you in my name and on behalf of the sons of our ancient and glorious Yazidination from Mount Sinjar. We represent the Supreme Authority of the Yazidi Nation in Iraq and the world. We must live up to the responsibility our proud Yazidi people entrusted to us.We must live up to their good faith in us, demand their legitimate rights, and preserve their national identity, their geography, and everything related to their culture wherever they are.And live up to the deep trust they placed in us before God Almighty and all of humankind. From this point, we hope that your excellencies will open your hearts and minds to our speech addressed to you, and please listen to us. Assuming your human responsibilities in standing with our peaceful people and supporting them to obtain their rights, preserve their historical identity and defend them. About its existence, and by virtue of our position and our commitment to the responsibility we bear before our people, we must closely monitor thepolitical events and conflicts taking place at the international and regional levels, as we havebeen monitoring for more than nineteen years the ongoing conflict between the Iraqi government and the Kurdistan Regional Government over several issues, including among them is Article (140), or as it is called the disputed areas, including the Yazidi areas in Sinjarand the Nineveh Plain, which is Yazidi lands throughout ancient and modern history. Our being an extension of the indigenous Iraqi peoples in Mesopotamia, in addition to the Baghdad-Erbil agreement related to Sinjar and its future has a direct impact on the securityand stability of our people, who categorically rejected this agreement for several reasons,including the abandonment of our people by the two governments, and they were the cause ofthe genocide that befell them on the third of August 2014, just as they deliberately ignored the will of our people and the sacrifices of the heroes of the Yazidi resistance who confrontedthe most significant terrorist attack in the modern era against the Yazidis on Mount Sinjar, and despite everything that happened and what is happening, we see that the discussions and agreements about Sinjar and its future fate are taking place with Partisan or governmental individuals who do not represent the will and aspirations of the Yazidi people, but rather theirmasters and political parties, and have no connection with the Iraqi national interest, just as we assure everyone that these individuals are not authorized by the Yazidi people, neither religiously nor nationally. So what are the results from these agreements and these individuals? The Yazidis will be hisvictims. For his sake, this matter is totally and categorically rejected, as the conclusion of these agreements and discussions was not with the people and their legitimate representatives, butwith these individuals. These leaders are implementing foreign agendas far from the reality ofthe Yazidi people. Their higher interests, and because we are a religious minority and one ofthe indigenous peoples of Mesopotamia, and we have our own religion, privacy, culture, language, and national identity that goes deep into the past, we have become victims of these conflicts. Your Highnesses and Excellencies All that is happening to our people in Iraq, in terms of marginalization and instability due tothe situation in their regions and the inability of the displaced to return to their areas, which partisan political parties caused. Their intentions are not in the best interest of the people of this oppressed component. And their aim as a result of these inhumane and illegal actions is to erase their existence, strip them of their national identity, deprive them of their legitimate historical rights, and melt them into another nationalist pot. Let everyone, including those in the position of responsibility and the source of the decision, know that these conspiracies and schemes hatched against our Yazidi people in dark rooms are not born today but extend to past years and continue to this day. These political parties arestill taking advantage of our people's difficult situation and the extreme suffering which resulted from the terrorist ISIS invasion in 2014. It aimed to strip our people of their Yazidinational identity, seize their land, change their history and culture, and eliminate the last remaining cultural, religious, and social heritage. They had cooperation. And there are some unscrupulous and patriotic figures from the Yazidi community. They wander co-operation around and appear on satellite channels and in international conferences, seminars, and forums. They give false statements and opinions far from the truth and authenticity of the Yazidi people, with their empty and unfounded claims. Based on solid historical evidence, wewould like to clarify and assure you that Yezidism is an independent religion and nationality.With all our respect and pride in all peoples, nationalities, religions, and other beliefs, we inform everyone that these conspiracies and scenarios written with paid pens have no goalother than falsifying facts about the identity and origin of our proud people. Let everyone know that we will not allow any political party after today to make our people dependent, to control their affairs for the sake of its narrow ambitions at the expense of the ancient history of our people. We demand that the Iraqi government and all concerned parties grant us all our legitimate rights politically, geographically, economically, and socially. And we also require that the Iraq Council of Representatives establish our national identity in any upcoming amendment to the effective constitution of the Republic of Iraq and recognize us as an independent religious and national component similar to the rest of the other components of the Iraqi people. And this is what the Constitution of the Republic of Iraq guarantees it. But, the commission made a historical error because the Yezidis were oppressed when writing the Constitution of the Republic of Iraq in 2005 due to pressure exerted by a political party. And the imposition of its will when writing the constitution resulted in changing our national identity to another identity that has nothing to do with us. Unfortunately, our people are still suffering from this fatal mistake. We direct our message to those political parties that control the fate of our people and interfere in our internal affairs by directing some Yazidi personalities with weak souls through theirparticipation in international forums and conferences to falsify and distort facts in favor oftheir goals and in a manner that serves their malicious plans and despicable ambitions. Let uslive in peace and security, and know that the will of the Yazidi people is stronger than you think. They can manage their internal affairs politically and socially, defend their rights, andprotect themselves. Whoever stands in the face of the most powerful terrorist organization known in the modern era does not fear confrontations and does not fear the right to blame the blamer. Your Highnesses and Excellencies. The Yazidi people have suffered a lot due to the deliberate marginalization by everyone, the interference of political forces from outside their surroundings in their internal affairs, and theconclusion of agreements on their own issues far from their will and advice, and this is contrary to what was stated in international covenants and conventions on human rights. As stated in Article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948), “All human beings are born free in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.” All religions confirm this.And in Article Two, “Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without discrimination of any kind, in particular on the grounds of race, color, sex, language, religion, political or other opinions, national origin or social status, wealth, birth, or any other status” as recognized by Article 1 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights of (1966), ratified by Iraq by Law No. (193) of (1970), “all peoples have the right to self-determination. The right to self-determination is particularly important because its realization is a prerequisite for the effective guarantee and respect for individual human rights and the promotion and strengthening of these rights. By virtue of this right, people can determine their political status and pursue their economic, social, and cultural development. And based on the aforementioned,and on the challenges that prevail in the current stage, and our feeling of injustice and marginalization, our fear and our anxiety about the unknown fate and our intentional assimilation into a national puppet other than our Yazidi nationality, and not taking into account our opinion as a people regarding our private matters after the great accumulations and negatives that resulted from the attack of the terrorist organization (ISIS) On our Yazidi people, on the third of August 2014, we demand our legitimate rights as Yazidis, and that dealing with us, as a people that has its own independent religion and nationality. And because of our concern about the future that these political parties are planning, and their main goal is to end our existence and melt our national Yazidi identity, our lack of safety inour motherland, Iraq, and the abandonment of the Iraqi government and the regional government to protect us. Therefore, we demand, as we demanded in the past, the implementation of the autonomy project (for the Mesopotamia region), which we announced in 2017, which includes each of the Yazidis, Turkmen, Assyrians, and the rest of the minorities who aspire to live in peace and security under the slogan: The Mesopotamia region is a sure guarantee for the stability of minorities in Iraq, which we believe will be the solution it is ideal for the permanent conflict over Article 140 and the Baghdad-Erbil Agreement and the outstanding problems between the two governments on the one hand, and as a factor of stability for the children of these minorities on the other hand, who suffered what they suffered because of the political conflict over their historical and geographical regions between the central government and the Kurdistan Regional Government and external interventions. Through this speech, I appeal to the sons of our Yazidi nation, including religious scholars, tribal Sheikhs, intellectuals, political parties, and those in a position of responsibility in Iraq, Turkey, Syria, Armenia, Georgia, Russia, and the Yazidi community in the European Union, America, Canada, Australia, Germany and the rest of the countries. In which the sons of our Yazidi nation reside. Be wary of these intrigues and conspiracies plotting in the dark rooms.Stand together to defend your identity and history as your ancestors defended it. And to sacrifice the precious to preserve, protect, and defend what remains of your roots and ancient Sumerian civilization. Just as your brothers, the heroes of the resistance in Sinjar, defended their land and identity and wrote the most magnificent heroics in Mount Sinjar against the terrorist ISIS organizations. History will bear witness to them. We must all be proud of ourgreat fathers and ancestors' glories, follow their path, and remember and never forget their immortal heroism and sacrifices in memory. History will preserve our existence to this day and beware of these plots that plan to end your original race, which is among the most dangerous schemes against the Yazidis today and in history.Iraq, a united land, and people.
